Suzanne Sitherwood President and Chief Executive Officer, Spire

As president and CEO, Suzanne Sitherwood is growing Spire to provide increasing value to every shareholder and exceptional service to every customer.

Suzanne oversees all aspects of the company including two natural gas utilities in Missouri and Alabama, a natural gas marketing company and an emerging technologies group. Under her leadership, Spire recently acquired two natural gas utilities serving customers across Missouri and Alabama and launched a natural gas fueling solution. Spire now ranks as the fifth largest, publicly-traded natural gas utility with nearly 1.6 million customers.

Prior to joining Spire as chief executive officer, Suzanne was president of three utilities at AGL Resources serving more than 1.6 million customers. With more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas industry, she has held other various executive positions including gas supply, storage and transportation, construction, engineering and rates and regulatory affairs.

A graduate of Southern College of Technology with a bachelor’s in industrial engineering technology, Suzanne also holds an MBA from Brenau University. She was named one of the “Most Influential Business Women” and “Who’s Who in Energy” by the St. Louis Business Journal, and awarded the Levee Stone award for her commitment to downtown St. Louis. Suzanne believes that being involved in the community is a responsibility and a privilege, which is why she chairs the St. Louis Regional Chamber. She recently co-chaired the 2015 United Way Campaign. She also sits on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Civic Progress St. Louis, United Way St. Louis’ Executive Committee and Board, Birmingham Business Alliance and American Gas Association.

Steve Lindsey Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Distribution Operations, Spire

President & CEO, Laclede Gas Company
CEO, Alabama Gas Corporation

Steve Lindsey is executive vice president and chief operating officer of distribution operations for Spire including Alagasco, Laclede Gas and Missouri Gas Energy. Collectively, these companies serve more than 1.6 million customers. He also serves as CEO and president of Laclede Gas Company and Missouri Gas Energy and CEO of Alabama Gas Corporation.

Before joining Spire, Steve spent 23 years in the natural gas utility business at AGL Resources. Most recently he served as president of Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas and Florida City Gas and senior vice president of southern operations for AGL Resources, collectively serving more than 1.6 million customers. Steve’s experience included overseeing the day-to-day operations and market development in the utility industry.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. In the industry, he is the past chairman of the American Gas Association's Managing Committee and a board member of the Southern Gas Association. He serves on the board of Regional Business Council, Missouri Chamber of Commerce, St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis Sports Commission, Missouri Energy Development Association and Kansas City Civic Council. Steve was named "Who's Who in Energy" by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Steven P. Rasche Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Spire

Steven P. Rasche is the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Spire Inc. He joined Spire in 2009 and is responsible for directing all accounting, financial reporting and analysis, treasury, investor relations and IT functions. On the natural gas utility side of the company, Steve was instrumental in three large acquisitions during the last three years.

Before joining Spire, Steve gained nearly 30 years of financial management and executive leadership experience from TLC Vision Corporation, a diversified eye care services company, where he held the position of chief financial officer. Prior to TLC Vision, he was a senior vice president and chief financial officer of Public Safety Equipment, Inc., a global manufacturer and marketer of warning, speed detection and in-car video systems.

 A certified public accountant, Steve received his master’s in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his bachelor’s in accountancy from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Steve was recently named “CFO of the Year” by the St. Louis Business Journal. He is actively involved in the St. Louis community, including leadership roles in several not-for-profit and professional organizations such as American Gas Association (Finance Committee Chairman), St. Louis Equity Fund (Audit Committee Chairman), Fair St. Louis (Board Member), University of Missouri’s MBA Advisory Board and Association for Corporate Growth Inc. 

Mark C. Darrell Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Spire

Mark is senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer of Spire. In this role he is responsible for advising the board of directors, CEO and senior management on legal matters affecting Spire and its subsidiaries.

Prior to his current position, Mark joined Spire as general counsel in 2004. Before joining Spire, Mark gained more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He served for 12 years in various executive legal and non-legal roles at NiSource Inc., Columbia Energy Group and New Jersey Resources Corporation. Previously, Mark was in private law practice in Washington, D.C. before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the DC Public Service Commission.

Mark earned his bachelor’s in political science from Syracuse University and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. In 2014, Mark was recognized as one of the “Nation’s Most Influential Minority Attorneys” on the Lawyer of Color’s Power List and a "Diverse Business Leader" by the St. Louis Business Journal. He is budget officer and vice chair of the Gas and Corporate Governance Committees of the American Bar Association Section on Public Utility, Communications and Transportation Law, past chair of the American Gas Association’s Legal Committee, a member of the Energy Bar Association, and serves on the advisory boards of the Corporate Counsel Institute at Georgetown University Law Center and the Financial Research Institute at the University of Missouri. He also serves on the boards of Mercy Hospital St. Louis, United Way of Greater Saint Louis and Easter Seals Midwest.

Michael C. Geiselhart Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Corporate Development, Spire

Michael Geiselhart is the senior vice president of strategy and corporate development for Spire Inc. In this role, he is responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and integration of utilities and other businesses acquired as part of the company’s growth strategy. In addition, he leads the optimization of Spire’s gas supply assets, including midstream and upstream projects. Mike also guides the company’s non-regulated business units, including its natural gas marketing affiliate, Spire Energy Marketing, and its innovation activities, including emerging technology businesses like Spire CNG. Finally, Mike is responsible for human resources, business process improvement and supply chain.

Mike has more than 30 years of experience on strategic transactions and projects, predominantly in the gas/electric utility and cable/telecom industries. Before joining Spire, Mike was chief financial officer for two telecom startups and an executive-in-residence for private equity firms. Previously, he held senior positions in corporate development, finance and regulatory compliance at a national cable operator (now part of Comcast) and as a cost-of-service witness at a major New England electric utility (now part of National Grid). He began his career as a CPA with a Big 4 accounting firm, and subsequently as an M&A advisor at a boutique investment bank.

Mike has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, magna cum laude, from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. He also holds an MBA in finance with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was formerly licensed as a CPA in New York.

Mark A. Borer Retired President, Chief Executive Officer, and Member of Board of Directors, DCP Midstream Partners, LP

Mark A. Borer served as CEO as well as a member of the Board of Directors of DCP Midstream Partners LP from November 2006 through December 2012. DCP Midstream Partners LP is a public midstream master limited partnership that is engaged in all stages of the midstream business for both natural gas and natural gas liquids.

Maria V. Fogarty Retired Senior Vice President of Internal Audit and Compliance, NextEra Energy, Inc.

Maria V. Fogarty served as the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit and Compliance at NextEra Energy, Inc. from 2011 through June 30, 2014. She previously served as Vice President of Internal Audit at that company from 2005 to 2010 and Director of Internal Audit from April 1993 through 2004. NextEra Energy, Inc. is a leading clean energy company with 2013 revenues of approximately $15 billion and the parent company of Florida Power & Light, the largest rate-regulated electric utility in Florida.

Edward L. Glotzbach Retired Vice Chairman, Mergers and Acquisitions, Information Services Group

Edward L. Glotzbach served as Vice Chairman, Mergers and Acquisitions, of Information Services Group from November 2007 when it acquired Technology Partners International, Inc. to March 1, 2012. From December 2004 to November 2007, he served as President and CEO of Technology Partners International, Inc., an organization that assists clients with the evaluation, negotiation, implementation and management of information technology and business process sourcing initiatives. From October 2003 to December 2004, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the firm. From 1970 to September 2003, he served in many positions with SBC Communications, with his most recent position there being Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for six years. Mr. Glotzbach served as a director of Perficient, Inc. from 2010 to May 2012.

Rob L. Jones Retired Co-Head, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Commodities, Inc.

Rob L. Jones served as co-head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch Commodities, Inc. (MLC) from 2007 until his retirement in March of 2012. Prior to serving as co-head of MLC, he held various positions with Merrill Lynch & Co. from 1993 to 2007, including managing director, co-head Global Energy and Power Investment Banking and founder, Merrill Lynch Commodity Partners. Jones has also provided academic and career guidance to students as an executive-in-residence at the University of Texas at Austin in the McCombs School of Business. Mr. Jones serves as a director of Shell Midstream Partners, L.P. and from 2012 to 2014 served as a director of Sunoco LP.

Brenda D. Newberry Retired Chairman of the Board of The Newberry Group, Inc.

Brenda D. Newberry is the retired Chairman of the Board of The Newberry Group, a provider of information technology consulting services on a global basis, specializing in information systems, technology infrastructure, data and network security, and project management services. Ms. Newberry founded The Newberry Group in 1996 with her husband. Between 2007 and 2014, she also served as a director of Enterprise Financial Services Corp. Ms. Newberry provides insight into the Company’s information technology strategy and related risks and exposures. Further, her experience in creating and building her own businesses assists the Company as it considers growth opportunities, and her government contractor experience provides insight in conducting business in a highly regulated industry.

John P. Stupp Jr. President, Stupp Bros., Inc.

John P. Stupp, Jr. has been President of Stupp Bros., Inc. since March 2004 and Chief Executive Officer of Stupp Corporation since August 1995. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Stupp Bros., Inc. from April 1995 to March 2004 and its Chief Operating Officer from April 1996 to March 2004. Stupp Bros., Inc. has two operating divisions: Stupp Bridge Company, a fabricator of steel highway and railroad bridges; and Stupp Corporation, producer of custom-made HFW (high frequency weld) and spiral weld pipe for gas and oil transmission; and three subsidiaries: APCI, an integrator of linear friction welding technology; Bayou Coating LLC, coating applicators for steel line pipe; and Midwest BankCentre, a Missouri bank holding company. During the past six years, he has served and continues to serve as a director of Stupp Bros., Inc. and Atrion Corp.

Mary Ann Van Lokeren Retired Chairman of the Board and CEO, Krey Distributing Company

Mary Ann Van Lokeren retired as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Krey Distributing Co., an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler, in October 2006. She served in that capacity from December 1986. Ms. Van Lokeren serves as a director of Masco Corporation.
