Zach successfully manages the systems that LER uses to schedule, account for and forecast gas and revenues as the director of systems and financial trading. In this role, his management duties include; development and maintenance of the software that is used in LER, evaluating and transacting in the forward market, giving forward basis and index quotes to Spire’s internal originators for their bid proposals, and triggering fixed price for suppliers and industrial end users.

From the time the company was only five employees, Zach has had many responsibilities covering a wide-range of areas. His broad knowledge base in the trading role allows him to consistently provide solutions to keep LER functioning in the fast paced natural gas market. All of Zach’s combined experience in the natural gas industry has given him a unique perspective.

Before joining Spire, Zach worked in Rock-Tenn’s paperboard manufacturing plant, starting as a shift supervisor before transitioning to the plant scheduler.

Zach received a general business degree from Drake University.
