As executive vice president, chief financial officer, Adam Woodard oversees financial affairs for Spire, one of the nation’s largest natural gas companies with more than enterprise value of more than $8 billion.

Adam has been with Spire since 2018 and added the role of chief financial officer of Spire Missouri, its largest utility subsidiary which provides natural gas service to 1.2 million customers, in 2019. 

He began his career in the Investment Banking Division of A.G. Edwards & Sons which later became Wells Fargo Securities. As a banker, he provided advice and financing to companies across the energy sector.  

Adam received his JD from Saint Louis University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the Missouri Bar.
