Spire provides support for St. Louis area customers impacted by severe weather

Disconnections for non-payment, service initiation and reconnection fees suspended through Sept., special extended payment arrangements available for impacted customers

ST. LOUIS, MO (May 20, 2025) — Spire is providing support to assist customers struggling after last week’s severe weather and tornado damage in the St. Louis area.

Today, the natural gas utility announced it will suspend disconnections for non-payment, as well as service initiation and reconnection fees for customers impacted by the tornadoes through Sept. 2025. Special extended payment arrangements are also available.

“Our hearts go out to all families, businesses and organizations throughout the St. Louis community who were impacted by the severe weather,” said Stephen Mills, Spire Missouri president. “We want to do our part to help the community get back on its feet and provide assistance so those customers have the support they need.”

Spire customers in the St. Louis region who were impacted by the recent severe weather are encouraged to call 800-887-4173 for more information.

In addition, as an essential services provider, Spire is working with city leaders and other members of the businesses community to help support recovery efforts. Spire is donating $15,000 to the American Red Cross Greater St. Louis chapter and $10,000 to United Way of Greater St. Louis toward their disaster relief efforts. Also, members of the Spire team will be volunteering as part of the company’s Spire Serves initiative to support the region’s cleanup.
